Current status of ARM64 support

Hello guys,

Could someone please clarify the status of ARM64 support? Is it still in progress?
Is [https://github.com/istio/istio/issues/21094] the correct issue to track the status?

It looks like Envoy supports ARM64 since Oct 2020, 1.16.

Are there technical problems to support it, or it’s a matter of time/resources?
