Getting error while trying to install Istio

istioctl install --set profile=demo -y

COMMAND:
Error: Get “http://localhost:8080/api?timeout=32s”: dial tcp [::1]:8080: connect: connection refused

Could any one please help me to resolve the issue. There is no storage issues in my macbook pro.
