Is Istio slack [https://istio.slack.com/] open to istio users? If yes, How can I join istio slack?

The Istio slack is restricted to regular contributors to the Istio community with two sponsors from different companies. https://github.com/istio/community/blob/eb8aa684df7a87e5c02886dc8dfcd24a30f81f58/ROLES.md. This forum is the official way of answering user questions.

I wanted to quickly point out this post, while accurate wsome time ago, is no longer accurate.

Anyone may join the Istio slack without a sponsor.

We welcome all contributors and count users as contributors.
