With the new istio helm charts istio/manifests/charts at master · istio/istio · GitHub being developed I would like to contribute a skaffold.yaml file. Please see: https://skaffold.dev/. This would be found in the root of the project and have profiles (such as bookstore). That can deploy both istiod and its gateways and the application in one command with skaffold dev. Is there any appetite for this? Examples can be found in the following repos:
