Upcoming Istio v1.18.1, v1.17.4, and v1.16.6 Security Releases

Hello Istio Community,

The Istio maintainers would like to announce the forthcoming security release of Istio v1.18.1, v1.17.4, and v1.16.6.

The release will be made available on July 18th, 2023 after 9:00 PDT (16:00 GMT). This release will fix numerous security defects. The highest rated security defect is considered high severity. No further details or patches will be made available in advance of the release.

Hello,

Due to external changes, this release will be delayed 1 week. The new release target is 25th of July 2023.

And I believe they will be 1.18.2, 1.17.5, and 1.16.7, as the titled releases came out last week.
