Working solution of Istio External Control Plane in GCP

We are trying to setup external control plane in GCP.
Looking out for a video/step by step guide to set this trough. Unfortunately didnt find enough material on this topic.

If anyone has succeeded with setting up External Control Plane in GCP, can you please guide me through?

I haven’t tried doing it manually, but if a managed solution is also fine for you, you might have a look at Managed Anthos Service Mesh, which features a Google-managed control plane.

We need to setup External Control Plane. Unfortunately we are not going with Anthos.
