Hi fellow Istio contributors,
As previously announced, we will release Istio 1.3.0 on September 10th. In order to ensure the quality of this this release, we will hold a community testing event on Tuesday, August 27th to complement Istio’s automated test coverage. During this event, contributors will manually validate that the different pages of the Istio 1.3.0 documentation actually work.
You are encouraged to participate by following these instructions:
- Select the item(s) that you would like to test in the test tracking spreadsheet, and add one column with your GitHub handle and a X in that column against each item.
- Manually perform the documentation’s instructions and check that they are valid.
- If there are no issues, replace X with DONE.
- If there are bugs / issues, please open a new issue on GitHub, and add replace X with the link to the issue.
Please use the Istio 1.3.0-rc.0 pre-release for testing.
Representatives from each component will be joining the meeting to answer questions about signing up for testing tasks, etc.
Thank you for your help!
